Ten Years After

The City of Santa Cruz presents an afternoon of remembrances from public officials, community members involved in rebuilding programs and a commemorative poem read by Morton Marcus. Oct. 17; Museum of Art and History, 705 Front St, Santa Cruz; 2 to 5:30pm.

Watsonville Community Hospital looks forward to being prepared for the next unexpected natural disaster with "Ten Years After ... Are You Ready?" Exhibitions of disaster-response equipment, the graduation of Watsonville's first Community Emergency Response Team and preparedness-related exhibits. Oct. 17; Watsonville Community Hospital parking lot, 75 Nielson Road, Santa Cruz; noon to 5pm.
