Name a task AI should do, and one it should never do.

I think it could expedite bureaucratic bullshit, speed the process. Weโre at a time when thereโs too many problems to solve and the system is too old to solve them. It should not be used for war or disinformation.
Taylor Lane, 33, Industrial Designer and Environmental Activist

AI should do menial labor, like human factory work. What it shouldnโt do is human creativity on bigger-scale things, like entertainment. Itโs peopleโs prerogative to use it with their own designs, but itโs not their job to employ someone else if they donโt have the money or resources.
Myles Cooper, 18, Student

I agree with Myles, and humans should have their own creative thing and not let AI come to take over that.
Vanessa Torrano Iรฑiguez, 17, Student

I think AI is good in the role of teaching, whether itโs creating teaching programs or being assistant professors. Students in the university are using it now; they get help from AI. What I donโt want is for AI to take away any human occupations.
Carlos Mota, 23, UCSC Astrophysics Major

I think AI should be allowed to be used to create Excel formulas, write code and do math, not for anything else. Iโve used it, and often itโs either wrong or you have to teach it a lot to be useful. The way people peddle the use of AI everywhere like selling a toy with knives sticking out of it.
Jasleen Sahota, 28, Process Chemist

I feel positive about AI. You need to prompt it to do stuff, and thatโs a reminder not to fear it, because it needs a user to work. Itโs a good assistant. As for AI art, I havenโt considered it as anything else but a meme. What I really, really donโt think AI should do is have the nuclear codes.
